Joe and I have decided that our Disney 2012 plans are going to be put on hold till next year!
Yes, we are bummed, but also excited!!
2013 is our 10th wedding anniversary (And Joe is turning 35!).
What better way to celebrate those to mile stones than going to the happiest place on earth with your family!!
God is in charge and we are listening! I'm not saying he is telling us we can't go to Disney! I'm saying he wants us to stay on track and keep our priorities straight!
Instead of going on our Disney trip this year we are paying off one of our two credit cards with the money we would have used and staying on the debt snowball track! Who knows, maybe we will have both paid off by then!?
And we are going to go on a road trip to the West coast!
A Surprise is still in the works as well as another kind of Disney!! ;)
Yes!!! Disneyland! We don't have any plans set in stone yet, but that will be one of our stops on our road trip!
My husband and my kids have never been to Cali, so that will be exciting in itself.
Plus, my kids cousins moved there just over a year ago and they miss them like crazy. So our big surprise is California!!
We are letting them know that we are going to Colorado for sure and maybe Mt. Rushmore, but then we haven't decided how we are surprising the CA part yet!! Hmmmmm?
So even though we were really excited to go back to our "home away from home!"!! We are looking forward to this trip too! :)
Plus, being able to stay on track with our priorities.

Disney Dreams 2012
Sounds like sometime in October, but not exactly sure what dates yet. Our school gets a few days off for MEA so we will plan around that and only have to take them out for a couple days or so.
And it's going to be a surprise!!!!
They know we are trying to plan on going sometime this year and we are talking as a family about what we want to do when we go back, but we aren't being specific on when.
Our plan right now is to tell them when we are on our way to the airport- all packed and ready to go!! I'm so excited to do this. It is one of my life dreams!! We are so blessed to be able to do this for our children whom we love and adore like nothing else!!
And yup, we are going to fly. I'm going to try my best to get the best airfare we can, because of time I don't want to have to take time driving. At least that is the plane as of now. You never know, it could change. We are blessed with being pretty flexible people!
These are just the plans we would like to do.
I'm hoping that we can take advantage of the Food and Wine festival that will be happening at Epcot while we are there. Maybe even take advantage of the childcare they have at Disney World and go on a "date" to it!!?
Also, the MNSSHP will be going on as well. (Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party!) And I know the kids would love that, including the oldest kid! (Daddy Joe! It is his favorite holiday.)
OOOOH! Now I need to keep my eyes out for some good Disney Halloween costumes! FUN! :)
Because of the size of our family the only moderate resort that we haven't stayed at yet is Port Orleans Riverside.
We stayed at French Quarter on our very first visit as a family and really liked it. There is a boat service to and from Downtown Disney and the commute to and from the parks isn't too bad.
They have done some refurbishments here too, so maybe we will book one of those.
Praying for free dining this time around! Last time we got the 45% off deluxe and we stayed at the contemporary, which was wonderful! So...... to get free dining would be great and also help with the whole flying part! ;)
Now I need to start crunching some numbers- this WILL be paid for before we get there! Which will be a first, but it is a must. Especially for our journey of staying debt-free. We can't add more interest on bills if we ever want to get ahead and still have a life with our three still young kids!!
I can't wait till I can start planning the details of this trip, especially the surprise part!!
Already order each kid a Disney shirt and a "We're going to Disney World" window cling!!
*could not find the photo of Oscar's shirt. It's a grey long sleeve shirt with a mickey down in the corner.
What is it 180 days or something like that? Then I can start doing my ADR's? (Advanced Dining Reservations) And we are looking forward to trying some new places to eat!
Yeah!!
